The UAE-based mobility business Hala has declared its intention to join forces with MwaslaTech, a local partner, to enter the Egyptian market.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Hala, a joint venture between Careem and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, which was established in 2019 as a one-stop shop for shared mobility and smart transport solutions, and MwaslaTech.
The introduction of e-hailing cab service and the use of cutting-edge technology, Hala hopes to improve the quality of travel for its clients in Egypt, particularly in recently developed areas like the New Administrative Capital.
The most practical e-hailing cab service in Dubai, Company has revealed intentions to join the Egyptian market alongside MwaslaTech, a one-stop shop for shared mobility and smart transport solutions. the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), formalising their collaboration.

Senior executives from both firms were present at the signing ceremony, including CEOs Yasser Sedky of MwaslaTech and Khaled Nuseibeh of Hala.
Under the terms of the agreement, It will investigate potential in other cities as well as the New Administrative Capital (NAC) of Egypt, a groundbreaking city project that has been under development since 2015 on the east side of Cairo. Hala wants to improve its clients’ travel experiences in Egypt by introducing innovative ideas and utilising cutting-edge technology.

Hala has trained approximately 2,577 Captains since January 2024 to provide technical support and ongoing training.
