Indonesia-based Bythen has secured US$5 million (RM22.5 million) in a seed financing round led by Vector Inc. and Skystar Capital, with participation from East Ventures, BEENEXT, OSK, and AppWorks. Notable angel investors, including William Tanuwijaya, co-founder of Tokopedia, and Ryan Lee, co-founder of Pinkfong Company, also participated in the round.

With this funding, Bythen is prepared for a global debut and plans to onboard 15,000 virtual influencers this year from various industries, such as Web3, gaming, and other well-known verticals. The business will reveal its first original IP collection in the upcoming months, in addition to collections created in partnership with renowned global IP owners.

Bythen claims that the platform enables users to use their Bytes as distinctive social media representations, allowing for self-generated material and video responses on many platforms to increase their reach and open up revenue-generating potential.
Additionally, users can utilize their Bytes for live streaming on YouTube and Twitch, manually or automatically, and video calls on Zoom and Google Meet. Users can improve their digital profile and increase their reach by creating and downloading personalized content with their Bytes using its AI-powered tools.
