Zest Equity, the UAE-based digital infrastructure platform for private market transactions, announced that it had raised $4.3 million in a Pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Prosus Ventures, with participation from Morgan Stanley Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures (MSISV) and several strategic investors.

Founded in 2021 by Zuhair Sham’a and Rawan Badour, Zest Equity specializes in building a full-stack digital infrastructure that enables the efficient and streamlined execution of private market transactions.

Strategic Use of Funds

The new capital will be used to hire specialized talent, drive expansion into the Saudi Arabian market, develop new products, and upgrade the company’s technical infrastructure to support increasing and diverse transaction volumes.

Zuhair Sham’a, Co-Founder and CEO of Zest Equity, stated:

“This funding milestone will allow us to continue our mission of removing friction from private market transaction execution.”

The company’s mission is to simplify and digitize the traditionally complex, manual processes of private markets through advanced infrastructure solutions.

About Zest Equity

Zest Equity is bridging a key gap in the private market ecosystem by delivering end-to-end transaction execution solutions, with a focus on deals under $100 million — a segment often underserved by central investment banks.

The platform is developing a proprietary suite of transaction tools to enable faster, more efficient deal execution, aiming to democratize access to private market opportunities across the region.

This latest investment underscores the rising demand for digital solutions in private markets and positions Zest Equity as a pivotal player shaping the future of private market investing in the Middle East and beyond.
