CRED, led by Kunal Shah, has partnered with CARS24 and Spinny to enable users to sell their cars directly through its platform.
Users can go to CRED Garage, answer a few simple questions to find out their car’s estimated value, and then book a free car check-up.
CRED states that it will only share member details with partners if the user schedules a car inspection, thereby maintaining their privacy.
“There’s no paperwork or extra steps required – once the car is inspected and the offer is accepted, the partner handles the entire resale process, including ownership transfer,” the company said.
CRED launched CRED Garage in September 2023 as a single platform where users can manage all aspects of their car. It offers assistance such as personal support, reminders, document storage, and car expense tracking.
Since then, CRED Garage has added more features, including recharging FASTags, purchasing car insurance, and obtaining pollution certificates.
Founded in 2023 by Kunal Shah, CRED started as a credit card bill payment app. However, after the pandemic, the Bengaluru-based startup began expanding into multiple financial services.
Today, CRED lets users make UPI payments, pay utility bills, manage their vehicles, and book travel experiences. Last year, it also bought Kuvera to start offering investment services and compete with apps like Zerodha, Groww, and PhonePe.
CRED also launched CRED Cash+, which allows users to obtain loans using their mutual funds as collateral. It also introduced CRED Money, a tool that helps users see all their bank balances, get reminders to pay bills, and understand their spending.
CRED has also expanded into the insurance space, teaming up with L&T Finance to offer personal loans that don’t require collateral.
