216 Capital Ventures has invested an undisclosed amount in Talenteo, a human resources tech startup from Algeria.
The new investment will help Talenteo grow and start working in new areas, beginning with Tunisia.
It will also be used to improve the platform’s technology and build a stronger presence in French-speaking African countries.
Talenteo provides an all-in-one online platform to help small and medium businesses in Africa manage their employees and payroll.
The platform includes tools for tracking staff, managing work hours and salaries, developing employee skills, and staying in line with local laws. It also uses artificial intelligence to make tasks faster and more efficient.
Over 10,000 people are actively using the platform across around 150 companies.
The company plans to use the new funding to improve its technology, especially by adding more artificial intelligence features.
It also wants to grow its business in key markets that are important for its future.
