Armory Raises INR 13 Crore to Boost AI-Powered Defence Tech, Led by GrowX Ventures

Defence-tech startup Armory has raised INR 13 crore in a new funding round.

The round was led by early-stage investor GrowX Ventures, with support from Industrial 47, Antler, AC Ventures, Dexter Ventures, and several angel investors.

The company said it will use the new money to improve research and development, make more products, and launch them faster.

“It’s increasingly obvious that the future of warfare is autonomous drones and electronic warfare. The only way to deter them is to build advanced countermeasures. Foundation of India’s self-reliant defence is being built right now, and we aim to play a leading role in it,” said Amardeep Singh, Founder and CEO of Armory.

“India’s national security priorities are rapidly evolving, and Armory is one of the few startups addressing these changes at the pace of software,”

Said Manish Gupta, general partner of GrowX Ventures. “Their focus on building mission-critical, AI-led defence systems from the ground up, which is fully indigenous, modular, and field-proven, represents the kind of vision we believe India’s defence-tech ecosystem needs.”

Armory was started in 2024 by Amardeep Singh. The company is based in Gurgaon, India.

Armory creates advanced technology in India to detect, track, and disable rogue drones. These drones are becoming a bigger threat with the rise of autonomous weapons and electronic warfare.

Its main product, called SURGE, has already been tested by multiple regiments of the Indian Army.

These systems use Samaritan OS, Armory’s AI-powered defence software. It can learn and adapt in real-time, which older systems were not able to do.
