ShopOS raises $20M led by Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal

ShopOS, an AI-powered eCommerce startup, has raised $20 million in a funding round led by 3STATE Ventures, founded by Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal.

The company plans to use the money to improve its platform, grow its product and engineering teams, and bring new brand partners on board in global markets.

“ShopOS is an AI-native operating system for ecommerce. It’s an agent-driven stack that lets brands make, market, and manage their stores,” Ajay P V, Co-founder of ShopOS.

“Our aim is to give any brand access to this OS and let them customize it to their product lines, making operations faster, smarter, and more efficient while delivering better experiences for shoppers. Brands currently deploy hundreds of people on repetitive tasks that AI can handle instantly. The efficiency gains are immediate for brands and quickly translate into value for customers,” he added.

“ShopOS is building the commerce stack of the future with AI at its core. The potential for an AI-driven operating system to empower brands, particularly in navigating cross-border commerce and hyper-personalisation, is a lot. Sai and Ajay have the proven ecommerce and technical expertise required to execute this vision,” said Binny Bansal.

ShopOS was founded by Sai Krishna V K and Ajay P V, who earlier co-founded Scapic — an AR and AI platform that Flipkart bought in 2020.
Now, through ShopOS, they are creating an AI-powered operating system designed specifically for eCommerce brands.

After Flipkart bought their earlier startup, the two founders went on to lead Flipkart Labs, where they worked on advanced tech innovations.

They later teamed up with Karan Sonawala, who also worked at Flipkart. There, he helped create AI-powered user experiences for millions of customers.
