Plenome Technologies Raises INR 6.5 Crore in Seed Funding

Plenome Technologies, a startup from IIT Madras, has raised INR 6.5 crore in a seed funding round.

The round included both Indian and international investors, with Ovington Capital Partners (Luxembourg) leading the investment, along with UAE-based AADI and angel investor Manish Gandhi.

Plenome will use the money to grow its business in global markets. It plans to use its special Blockchain-AI technology to help industries like healthcare, organ donation, and remote voting.

Plenome was founded by award-winning scientist Prof. Prabhu Rajagopal, along with Vijayaraja Rathinasamy and Anirudh Varna. The company is building safe, flexible, and easy-to-connect digital systems for handling sensitive data.

Its ‘BlockTrack OrganEase’ solution is already in trial runs with a state transplant authority, while its remote voting platform ‘BlockVote’ has been deployed successfully at IIT Madras and is now being pitched for large-scale enterprise elections.

Plenome is currently testing its AI-powered healthtech tool called ‘Ashwin’ in dental clinics. It helps capture structured data in multiple languages.

The company also plans to expand this tool to other areas like eye care, cosmetic treatments, and fertility services.

Plenome uses blockchain (DLT) at the backend and AI on the front end to bring together data creation, management, and diagnosis in one system. It also makes sure that users have control over their data and that their privacy is protected.
