Omani Startup ZabonEx Raises $100K in Pre-Seed Funding Round

ZabonEx, a predictive analytics startup based in Oman, has raised $100,000 in a pre-seed funding round.

The round was led by the Future Oman Fund and Ethaka Group.

ZabonEx plans to use the new money to make its forecasting technology better and hire more people for its technical team.

The company will also work on building strong partnerships with important businesses in Oman’s food supply chain.

ZabonEx is creating special tools to help new customers get started more easily.

These tools are designed to match the unique needs of the local market.

ZabonEx was started in 2023 by Hatim Moosa and Almuhannad Al Balushi.

It offers a software platform that helps food and drink businesses predict customer demand, manage stock better, reduce waste, and increase profits.

ZabonEx focuses on food and drink companies that make, deliver, and sell products. It helps them manage their stock better, waste less, and make more money.

This round is a major step forward for us,” said Hatim Moosa, co-founder of ZabonEx. “It will allow us to accelerate both business development and product enhancement within Oman’s F&B ecosystem. We are committed to building a strong local foundation before expanding to regional markets.”

Co-founder Almuhannad Al Balushi added, “F&B businesses are under pressure to stay profitable while meeting sustainability expectations. ZabonEx was born from this challenge. We empower them to make better decisions by forecasting demand at a granular level, improving not just margins but also their environmental footprint.”
