Hasan.VC the venture capital arm of the Ethis Group, has officially launched Cohort 003 of its high-impact Accelerator Programme, continuing its commitment to support halal and ethical startups across Southeast Asia. Following the successful graduation of Cohort 002, the firm is now inviting applications from purpose-driven founders looking to scale impactful ventures in the region.
The Hasan.VC Accelerator is a five-week online programme designed for early-stage startups focused on halal and ethical innovation. Selected participants will receive up to US$60,000 (RM253,000) in pre-seed funding, hands-on mentorship from experienced Muslim entrepreneurs and global experts, and access to a network of over 500 angel investors.
In addition to funding and mentorship, founders will also benefit from a strong peer community, potential government co-funding, and strategic access to a market of 60 million Muslims through Hasan.VC’s extensive partner ecosystem.
“We’ve designed this programme to go beyond just capital. It’s a founder-first ecosystem built on shared values, collaboration, and real-world business support,” said Umar Munshi, Managing Partner of Hasan.VC and Group Managing Director of Ethis.
“Our focus is on enabling high-potential, impact-driven startups, particularly those led by Muslim and female founders, to thrive in a market often underserved by traditional VC models.”
The accelerator has already made a measurable impact in the region. Cohort 001 welcomed 42 startups. While 29 joined Cohort 002 with 20 of them successfully securing funding. Alumni include innovative ventures such as Qara’a, Synbiozymes, Reyhut Automation, GoBarakah, DashAdd, Xentri, and Fly0, spanning diverse sectors.
“We are looking for passionate, resilient founders ready to solve real-world problems through ethical innovation,” said Mohd Akhtaar, Principal at Hasan.VC.
“As Southeast Asia rises as a global innovation hub, now is the time to scale halal startups that are built on both purpose and performance.”
Each cohort admits ten high potential startups, offering equity-based funding, strategic mentorship, and culminating in a Demo Day, where founders pitch to a curated audience of investors, partners, and ecosystem leaders.
Startups working on halal or ethical products and services across Southeast Asia are encouraged to apply. Applications for Cohort 003 are now open.
