CodeKarma Raises $2.5M Pre-Seed Round to Accelerate Global Growth and Product Development.
Developer productivity startup CodeKarma has secured $2.5 million in pre-seed funding, with participation from leading investors including Prosus, Accel, and Xeed Ventures. The round also saw backing from SenseAI Ventures and Stargazer Ventures.
The startup plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate product development, expand into international markets like the US, and scale its team to support growth.
“This funding is a strong validation of our vision from leading investors and will accelerate our global expansion into enterprise markets, help us attract exceptional talent, and drive continuous innovation across diverse tech stacks and enterprise environments,” founder and chief executive Anantharam Vanchi Prakash said.
“CodeKarma gives insights to people across various positions in an organisation, at the level of abstraction that they need, because we know the entire stack of what is really going on. So, of course, it helps the developer but also helps engineering managers, product managers, architects, as well as the CTO to make their vision,” Prakash added.
Dhruv Gupta, investor, Prosus, said, “As AI accelerates software creation, the cost of unmanaged complexity, especially tech debt, will rise sharply. CodeKarma addresses this challenge by creating a persistent relay between production and development.”
“By integrating with most AI-IDEs like Cursor or Copilot to create the bridge between dev time and run time for debugging & refactoring, and especially excelling at large code bases, their platform positions them to become a critical infrastructure layer for all engineering teams,” said Subrata Mitra, partner, Accel.
Founded in 2024 by former Amazon and Flipkart executive Ananth Vanchi, CodeKarma is a developer productivity startup that provides real-time insights to both developers and AI systems during software development.
Its platform helps engineering teams spot hidden risks, remove unused code, and streamline software building—making it easier to manage large and evolving codebases. With a focus on industries like e-commerce, fintech, and logistics, CodeKarma integrates real-time production insights directly into developer tools.
The company now plans to enter the US enterprise market and enhance its product capabilities to serve global teams better.
