
UBTech Robotics has signed a new partnership with Infini Capital. As part of this deal, Infini Capital will provide the company with a US$1 billion financing line.
This funding will give UBTech more financial support to grow its business and expand into new markets.
Infini Capital is a global investment firm with offices in Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong. It will provide the funding to UBTech through its High-Tech Fund.
The financing will be offered in different forms, such as private placements, convertible bonds, and cash withdrawal rights.
As part of the deal, Infini Capital may become one of the main shareholders in UBTech.
It could take up to a 5% ownership stake in the company.
UBTech and Infini Capital plan to work together to build and improve the supply chain for humanoid robots.
They also want to explore ways to grow UBTech’s business in the Middle East.
This includes setting up a joint venture for a local factory and research & development (R&D) center in the region.
UBTech Robotics was founded in March 2012 and is a top company making humanoid and smart service robots. On December 29, 2023, the company was officially listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with the stock code 9880.HK.
