Fabrix raises $8M to simplify and secure enterprise identities

Fabrix Security has officially launched from stealth with $8 million in seed funding to introduce its new product, Fabrix.

Fabrix is an AI-powered security tool that helps companies protect both human identities (like employees) and non-human identities (such as bots, API keys, and AI agents). It makes sure people and systems only get the access they really need, cutting security risks without slowing business operations.

The funding round was led by Norwest, Merlin Ventures, and Jibe Ventures. The money will be used to further develop the product and support sales and marketing efforts.

Fabrix Security was founded by CEO Raz Rotenberg and CTO Ofir Yakovian. Raz is an AI expert who was a founding engineer and R&D lead at Run.ai, a company acquired by NVIDIA last year. Ofir previously worked as a Technical Lead at Orca Security and Microsoft Entra, bringing strong expertise in identity security.

The company is supported by leading experts in cybersecurity and AI from top organizations such as NVIDIA, Cyera, Palo Alto Networks, Tenable, Google, and Microsoft.

Fabrix is built entirely on AI to provide clear and reliable identity and access management (IAM) decisions. It gives companies reasoning trails and evidence-based insights so they can trust every decision.

The platform uses AI agents trained specifically for IAM tasks, allowing businesses to scale quickly while staying secure in today’s fast-changing environment.

“IAM problems have been around for decades, but identity sprawl has made them worse. Both human and non-human identities are growing exponentially. At this scale, traditional IAM systems that rely on manual processes can’t achieve their main objectives, enforcing least privilege and reducing the attack surface. With the AI revolution, Fabrix can deliver significant value to customers by making these processes intelligent and autonomous, in ways that could never have been done before,” said Rotenberg.

“Enterprise identity security teams continue to struggle with identity governance and administration (IGA) challenges like manual processes, inefficient user access reviews, and integration across broad portfolios of workforce apps. AI holds the promise of streamlining IGA operations, and Fabrix Security brings domain expertise and a new approach that holds the promise of turbocharging identity team effectiveness,” said Todd Thiemann, Principal Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group.

AI-Native IAM is a new type of identity and access management (IAM) solution that is built entirely on AI. It helps manage digital identities, permissions, and access policies more efficiently.

Unlike older IAM systems that depend on manual work, AI-Native IAM uses real-time data and Large Language Models (LLMs) to automatically adjust permissions, discover risks, and optimize access for both humans and non-humans (like bots and service accounts).

“Identity and access management is a well-known IT and security pain point. Fabrix Security is using new AI technologies to tackle this difficult and persistent problem,” said Dror Nahumi, General Partner at Norwest. “Its technology leverages advanced reasoning methodologies to monitor access decisions. This revolutionary approach adds a powerful layer of intelligence to enhance existing identity platforms,” added Nahumi.

“The identity space is on the verge of major disruption. AI’s ability to multitask at scale and make instant decisions will eliminate today’s approval bottlenecks and long wait times. Identity will become one of the most profoundly impacted areas of cybersecurity in the near future,” said Shay Michel, Managing Partner at Merlin Ventures.

Fabrix Security is a pioneer in the fast-growing AI-native identity security market. Its main product, Fabrix, is built to make smart and clear access decisions while automating identity workflows for large organizations.

With Agentic AI at its core, Fabrix enforces least privilege, removes the need for manual IAM tasks, and gives evidence-backed, explainable access decisions for both human and non-human identities. It helps modern enterprises move away from slow, error-prone processes and instead gain intelligence, speed, and consistency in managing access.
