Collage AI acquires Israeli EdTech startup StudyWise

Collage AI is buying the Israeli startup StudyWise, which created an AI platform to help prepare and grade exams and assignments in schools and universities.

After the acquisition, StudyWise will grow its team, hire more developers, and serve as Collage AI’s main global hub for educational technology. The deal is estimated to be worth several million dollars, and StudyWise has never raised outside funding since it started.

Collage AI, owned by venture firm Morningside, builds AI technology that links schools and universities with the job market. Its platform helps teachers and teaching assistants create course materials, design tests, identify knowledge gaps, and guide students in planning their careers.

The platform is designed to give educators more time to focus on teaching and mentoring, helping students get ready for success in a changing world of work.

StudyWise’s founders will join Collage AI in important management and development positions, guiding the creation of the next generation of AI-driven education tools.

StudyWise was founded in 2024 by Ri Nurieli, CEO; Chen Berger, COO and CRO; and Guy Aronson, CTO. They started the company during the early months of the war while also serving as officers in Israel’s air defense system and a classified unit.

The idea for StudyWise came from noticing growing learning gaps, fast changes in technology, and the increasing role of AI in education.

StudyWise created an AI platform for teachers and schools that helps make personalized assignments and tests using existing course materials.

The platform can automatically grade essays and open-ended questions, saving teachers a lot of time. It also spots where students are struggling and gives personalized suggestions to help them learn better.

Teachers can handle the whole assessment process using the platform, with a clear view of how each student is performing. It works smoothly with existing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and is easy for anyone to use.

Ori Nurieli, Co-Founder and CEO of StudyWise, said: “Since founding the company, we’ve experienced rapid growth thanks to a product that meets real market needs, strong word-of-mouth traction, and intensive use of AI to accelerate our development processes. The rapidly growing EdTech field offers advanced technologies for personalized, remote, and hybrid learning. Innovative AI tools enable digital and flexible education, rich content creation, assessment, and adaptive learning experiences supported by analytics for more effective learning. Joining Collage AI and the Morningside family, who bring deep experience and strong ties across the U.S. academic landscape, will significantly accelerate our platform’s development and market expansion.”
