Coolmate, Vietnam’s top online direct-to-consumer (D2C) fashion brand, has completed its Series C funding round. The round was led by Vertex Growth Fund, which is part of Vertex Holdings, a subsidiary of global investment group Temasek. The amount raised has not been disclosed.
New investors in this round include Cool Japan Fund, backed by the Japanese government, and YoungOne CVC, the venture capital arm of Youngone Group, a global maker of sportswear and outdoor clothing.
Existing investors like Vertex Ventures SEA & India and Kairous Capital also took part in the funding round.
Founded in 2019, Coolmate sells a wide range of clothing and accessories for men and women, with a strong focus on sportswear such as outfits for running, swimming, cycling, yoga, pilates, and pickleball.
The company has built its own supply chain and uses technology to offer high-quality, affordable products. Over the past six years, Coolmate says it has delivered more than 5 million orders.
The Series C funding will support three key growth plans from 2026 to 2030.
The first focus is expanding into the women’s market. Coolmate launched its female sportswear line in March 2025, targeting what is expected to become one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing fashion segments. The company aims to transform from a “men’s brand” into a “sports brand for everyone”, with women’s products contributing around 40% of total revenue by 2030.
Coolmate is also planning to enter physical retail by opening its first store in December 2025. These stores will let customers experience the “value of Vietnamese quality” through well-designed and functional products. The company expects offline retail to make up 40% of total revenue by 2030.
Another key goal is international expansion, especially in Southeast Asia. Coolmate aims for half of its total sales to come from international markets by 2030. The brand already has a growing global presence — in 2025, its athletic socks became a “Best Seller” on Amazon US, with over 25,000 orders per month.
Pham Chi Nhu, CEO and founder of Coolmate, said: “Coolmate was founded with the simple belief that Vietnam can absolutely create global standard products, designed and produced with national pride. This investment helps us realise that belief, expand into new markets and continue to build a brand that represents the innovative spirit of Vietnam.”
