Univers, a global energy technology company, has teamed up with SBS Transit, Singapore’s leading public transport operator, to build the SBS Transit Energy and Operations AI Platform.
This platform is designed to improve how SBS Transit manages and optimizes its energy use and day-to-day operations.
According to Univers, the platform will use AI and IoT technologies to connect and analyze data from SBS Transit’s bus and rail facilities. This will improve how assets and systems are monitored, controlled, and maintained.
Overall, the partnership is expected to boost both operational efficiency and energy savings, supporting Singapore’s wider decarbonization goals.
As a Singapore headquartered company, we’re proud to work with SBS Transit on a multi-year AI-driven transformation of energy and operations. The innovations we build here will deliver real impact for the public transport sector in Singapore, and ultimately, the rest of the world,” said Chun Yin Mak, Global Senior Vice President of Univers.
The partnership will tap into Univers’ newly launched Global Impact AI Lab to develop and speed up new innovations for the transport sector.
The goal is to create AI-powered solutions for energy and other areas that can first be deployed in Singapore and then expanded to regions around the world.
