Equirus Group has named Manishkumar Jain as the CEO of Equirus Finance, its newly launched non-deposit-taking NBFC, the company announced on Thursday. The appointment follows the group’s recent approval from the Reserve Bank of India to establish the NBFC, marking a key step in its growth plans.
In his new role, Jain will spearhead the development of Equirus Finance, focusing on building a diversified lending portfolio. The company aims to offer personalised, relationship-driven funding solutions tailored for high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and business promoters.
With Equirus Wealth overseeing more than USD 2.2 billion in assets, the new NBFC is expected to strengthen the Group’s ability to provide a seamless, integrated advisory-and-lending experience.
Jain brings over two decades of experience from organisations such as ASK Group, Nuvama, Anand Rathi Global Finance, and Deloitte. A Chartered Accountant, he has extensive expertise in capital market lending, treasury management, structured credit, and leading NBFC operations. He has also served as CFO at multiple NBFCs and has worked closely with wealth teams to deliver tailored, client-focused credit solutions.
Ajit Deshmukh, Managing Director, Equirus, said, “Jain’s proven leadership capabilities and deep domain expertise make him the ideal leader to build and scale our NBFC business. This appointment is a crucial step in Equirus’ strategy of becoming India’s most trusted financial partner for entrepreneurs, corporates and HNI families in India.”
Manishkumar Jain, CEO of Equirus Finance, said, “The opportunity to build a wealth focused NBFC that seamlessly integrates with Equirus’s established platforms is truly exciting. I look forward to creating a client centric ecosystem that delivers bespoke funding solutions while maintaining the highest standards of risk management and regulatory compliance.”
Equirus Finance will offer customised lending products including Loan Against Securities (LAS), ESOP funding, Market-Linked Debentures (MLDs), structured finance, and other secured credit solutions designed for HNIs, family offices, and promoters.
