Ryt Bank’s AI-powered digital banking platform is built on Alibaba Cloud, which helped the bank launch and set up its infrastructure in Malaysia.
The partnership was announced during Alibaba Cloud AI Day in Kuala Lumpur and enabled the bank to deploy its core systems within just six months.
This setup also supports Ryt Bank’s fully digital onboarding process, allowing customers to open an account in only two minutes.
The platform uses Alibaba Cloud’s local infrastructure and secure architecture, ensuring that the bank meets all regulatory requirements.
Alibaba Cloud gives Ryt Bank strong data protection, reliable operations, and advanced cybersecurity. The cloud setup also helps the bank support Malaysia’s national financial inclusion goals.
Ryt Bank uses AI across its services to offer more personalised features and improve the overall banking experience for customers in Malaysia.
“Alibaba Cloud has been a strategic partner in enabling Ryt Bank’s fast, secure, and AI-driven launch. This collaboration provides the cloud foundation and AI capabilities we need to drive innovation, strengthen customer trust, and support Malaysia’s broader digital ambitions. Together, we are helping to shape the future of AI-powered financial services in the country, said Melvin Ooi, CEO of Ryt Bank.
“Supporting Malaysia’s goal to become an AI Nation by 2030 requires strong national partnerships and solid infrastructure that drive innovation and technological advancement. Through our collaborations with Ryt Bank on AI-enabled digital banking and with PRO-NET on AI-driven solutions, Alibaba Cloud is proud to act as a strategic partner for Malaysia, empowering digital and AI capabilities across key industries, helping Malaysia innovate at both national and international levels,” said Dr. Feifei Li, SVP of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group and President of International Business at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group.
