Aurassure secures INR 25 crore pre-Series A round

Climate tech startup Aurassure has raised INR 25 crore (around $3 million) in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures, with participation from Maithan Alloys Limited.

The company plans to use the funds to speed up its expansion across the Global South, with a strong focus on Latin America, South Asia, and Africa. This includes strengthening its presence in Brazil, building regional teams, and expanding city-level deployments.

Aurassure will also invest in improving its Climate Intelligence Analytics Platform. The plans include expanding AI-based prediction models, improving cloud analytics, and developing advanced hyperlocal sensing systems.

Akanksha Priyadarshini, Co-founder and CEO of Aurassure, said, “Enterprises today need climate intelligence that is immediate, accurate and hyperlocal. Aurassure brings that capability to the ground by helping organisations reduce risk, protect people and operate with confidence in an increasingly unpredictable climate. What was earlier a nice to have has now become an absolute necessity.”

Aurassure was founded in 2022 by Akanksha Priyadarshini. The company runs a climate intelligence platform that provides real-time, hyperlocal data on environmental risks, helping businesses operate in areas affected by growing climate uncertainty.

The platform uses a network of over 2,000 street-level sensors along with AI and physics-based models. It delivers detailed insights on air quality, heat stress, rainfall, flooding, wind patterns, and urban microclimates.

Aurassure reports 99% network uptime and currently has active deployments in more than 200 cities across India and over 100 cities in Brazil.

Over the past year, the company has also launched a wholly owned subsidiary in Brazil and begun early-stage projects in Bangladesh, marking its expansion into new markets.
