Dell Technologies is buying the Israeli company Dataloop AI for $120 million in an all-cash deal.

The acquisition is an important move for Dell as it continues to invest more in artificial intelligence and build complete AI infrastructure solutions for its business customers.

Dataloop has built a platform that helps companies manage, label, and process unstructured data used to train AI models. Its technology makes it easier for organizations to handle complex data workflows and organize large amounts of data needed for modern AI systems.

For Dell, adding Dataloop’s capabilities can strengthen its AI tools and services. It also brings an important data management layer, which is essential for running successful AI projects in large enterprises.

Dataloop was founded in 2017 by Eran Shlomo, Avi Yashar, and Nir Buschi. The company is based in Herzliya, Israel.

So far, Dataloop has raised around $50 million in funding. Its investors include NGP Capital, Alpha Wave Global, and Israeli funds such as F2 Venture Capital, OurCrowd, and Amiti Ventures.

As of last year, Dataloop was working with a wide range of clients across different industries. These included companies such as Vimeo, Rentokil, UVeye, Taranis, Pixellot, Syngenta, Brunswick, as well as some of the world’s largest car manufacturers.
