VinSpeed High-Speed Railway Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (part of Vingroup) and Siemens Mobility GmbH (a company of Siemens AG, Germany) have officially signed agreements to work together.
These agreements create a strong partnership focused on high-speed rail in Vietnam. VinSpeed aims to improve its ability to develop high-speed trains and learn advanced technologies from Siemens.
The collaboration will help bring world-class technology to Vietnam, encourage local production, and build a modern, international-standard transport system for the country.
Under the agreements, Siemens Mobility, a global leader in high-speed rail technology, will handle the design, supply, and system integration of trains along with key railway systems such as signaling, telecommunications, and power supply.
Siemens Mobility will also work on maintaining the trains and systems they provide, while transferring technology to VinSpeed. This collaboration aims to achieve the highest possible level of local production for VinSpeed’s projects.

Velaro Novo is an Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) train and represents Siemens Mobility’s most advanced high-speed train platform to date. It is designed to shape the future standards of high-speed travel and can operate at speeds of up to 350 km/h.
With its wider carbody and optimized design, Velaro Novo offers at least 10% more passenger capacity than previous generations and other high-speed trains. This improves passenger comfort while also increasing revenue per trip for train operators.
VinSpeed, part of Vingroup’s Infrastructure division, was created to lead the development of high-speed rail and modern transport projects in Vietnam. The company focuses on using advanced technology, efficiency, and sustainable practices.
VinSpeed aims to be a key driver in transforming Vietnam’s transport infrastructure and shaping the future of the country’s rail industry according to international standards.
