Juniper Group, which operates under Vela Software and Constellation Software Inc., has acquired Tagit Singapore Pte Ltd. a company that provides digital banking solutions. This move helps Juniper grow its financial services software business across Asia and other fast-growing markets.
After the acquisition, Tagit will operate under TSI Group, a division of Juniper Group based in Chennai, India.
This acquisition is TSI Group’s third deal since joining Juniper Group in 2020 and its second acquisition in India. It supports the group’s strategy of strengthening its presence in core banking and digital banking technologies.
Founded in Singapore, Tagit is known for its Mobeix Digital Banking Platform. This platform is cloud-based, open-API, and helps banks improve digital services for retail, corporate, and family banking, as well as digital customer onboarding.
According to the buyer, Tagit’s platforms handle over $100 billion in transactions every year. This allows banks to launch new digital services faster without depending heavily on their internal tech teams.
The deal reflects a larger trend in the fintech and banking software industry, where bigger companies are buying specialised platforms to offer complete digital transformation solutions. For Juniper and TSI Group, adding Tagit strengthens their customer-facing digital banking offerings and complements existing products from TSI and SysArc.
“We are pleased to join the Juniper Group and enter the next phase of Tagit’s growth,” said Sandeep Bagaria, CEO of Tagit. “As part of the Juniper Group, we are well-positioned to accelerate our product roadmap, expand our market reach, and deliver greater long-term value to our customers and partners worldwide.”
Karthik Doraiswamy, CEO of TSI Group, said, “Tagit’s talented team and high-performing technology stack are a strong addition to our portfolio. Together, we can deliver more comprehensive solutions for our customers and partners.”
As banks keep investing more in digital services and flexible, API-based systems, strong digital banking platforms are becoming more important than ever.
Deals like this show how scalable digital banking platforms now play a key strategic role in the global financial services industry.
