Cumin Co., a kitchenware startup that makes toxin-free cookware, has raised $5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Fireside Ventures.
Existing investors Huddle Ventures and Alteria Capital also took part in the round.
New investors include Atrium Angels, Mokobara founders Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal, and Tracxn founder Abhishek Goyal.
The startup plans to use the funds to improve its enamel-coating technology, build its own manufacturing capabilities, educate consumers about healthier cookware, and grow its team across departments.
“Health has become the new flex. Just as people moved from regular oils to olive oil and now to avocado oil, we’re seeing a similar shift in cookware, with growing awareness around what goes into non-stick pans and everyday kitchen tools,” said cofounder Joshi.
Cumin Co. was launched in February 2025 by husband-and-wife founders Udit Lekhi and Niharika Joshi. The company is based in Gurugram.
The brand focuses on cookware that is well-designed, practical for daily use, and free from harmful chemicals commonly found in traditional non-stick or metal cookware.
Cumin Co. sells its products through its own website, Amazon, and quick-commerce platforms like Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart.
