VinFast Indonesia has announced a strategic partnership with the Subang Regency Government and an infrastructure partner to build a new interchange on the Cipali Toll Road which connects Cikampek and Palimanan. This project supports VinFast’s long-term plans in Indonesia, helps improve local transport and industrial infrastructure, and is expected to create positive economic and social benefits for the region.
Under this agreement, VinFast Indonesia will act as the main investor and will fully fund the project. This means the local government will not face extra financial pressure.
The partners want to improve transportation infrastructure, accelerate construction, and reduce logistics costs to open the interchange as early as possible.
On January 14, 2026, VinFast Indonesia the Subang Regency Government, and PT Lintas Marga Sedaya (PT LMS)—the operator of the Cipali Toll Road—signed a joint agreement to build, operate, and maintain the Manyingsal Interchange at Km 115+500 on the Cipali Toll Road.
VinFast Indonesia will cover all project costs, including planning, feasibility studies, permits, construction and other related expenses. The company will work closely with the Subang Regency Government to obtain approvals from the Ministry of Public Works in Indonesia.
The Subang Regency Government will act as the main coordinator for the project. It will manage and process all required licenses and permits, including approvals to use the toll road area.
The government will appoint specialized agencies to carry out the project, handle technical documents, detailed designs, and environmental impact studies until final approval and operating licenses are granted. It will also monitor progress every month through regular supervision and evaluations.
Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, commented: “In every market we enter, we are committed to building enduring partnerships that generate shared prosperity. We do not view infrastructure as a peripheral investment, but as a foundational catalyst for sustainable socio-economic advancement. Our commitment to Indonesia is long-term and holistic, working alongside government and communities to strengthen competitiveness, create employment, and elevate quality of life. ‘Move people ahead, bring the nation forward’ is the principle that anchors our strategy and guides our actions across the region.”
The agreement highlights VinFast’s long-term commitment to investing in Indonesia’s automotive industry and shows its active role in working with local governments to support important infrastructure projects.
Improved transportation infrastructure is expected to make logistics more efficient, boost Subang’s economic competitiveness, and support long-term growth across the wider region.
The project is also expected to create thousands of new jobs, contributing to Indonesia’s industrial growth and modernization efforts.
