Zepto Signs MoU With Ayush Ministry to Sell Ayush Products Online

The Ayush Ministry on Wednesday signed an MoU between its export promotion council and Zepto Limited to make Ayush medicines and wellness products available online across India.

The agreement aims to improve the digital visibility of these products while ensuring quality standards and building consumer trust in traditional healthcare.

The MoU was signed in the presence of the Ayush Ministry Secretary, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha and was formally executed by AYUSHEXCIL Chairman Anurag Sharma and Zepto co-founder and CEO Kaivalya Vohra.

Anurag Sharma said the partnership will give Ayush manufacturers, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs), a clear, organized way to reach more consumers online. He added that AYUSHEXCIL will select and recommend manufacturers who meet quality and regulatory requirements.

Kaivalya Vohra said Zepto will create a dedicated Ayush section on its platform. This will help customers easily find verified Ayush products and shop with more confidence.

He also said Zepto will focus on transparent sourcing, compliance with all regulations, and providing a smooth, easy online shopping experience for users.

Under the MoU, AYUSHEXCIL will recommend approved manufacturers and review educational content to ensure it meets regulations. Zepto will support product discovery through the Ayush storefront, run joint consumer awareness programs and promote quality standards such as the Ayush Quality Mark.

The agreement includes setting up a dedicated Ayush section on Zepto, promoting certified quality standards, and onboarding approved manufacturers, especially MSMEs. It also focuses on running consumer awareness programs and creating reliable educational content that is reviewed and approved by AYUSHEXCIL.

This initiative is expected to help Ayush businesses reach more customers online while making quality-assured products available across the country. It supports the Ministry of Ayush’s efforts to strengthen the Ayush sector and matches government goals such as Digital India, Ease of Doing Business, and Make in India.

AYUSHEXCIL was established by the Ministry of Ayush with support from the Ministry of Commerce and was launched at the Global Ayush Investment and Innovation Summit in April 2022. The council helps promote exports of Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Unani products and works to resolve trade-related issues in these areas.
