Meat delivery startup Zappfresh has entered the frozen vegetarian snacks segment with the launch of its new brand, Meevaa Foods, as it expands its ready-to-eat food range.
Meevaa Foods products will be launched in Delhi NCR on February 9, followed by Mumbai and Bengaluru from March 1. Zappfresh plans to invest INR 10 crore over the next 2–3 years to grow its frozen food business.
Meevaa Foods will launch 12 frozen veg products, including samosas, momos, kebabs, and patties as its pilot range, with new products added quarterly based on demand. Zappfresh expects imports and exports to make up 15–20% of its frozen food volumes.
“Our recent acquisition in the frozen and processed foods segment enabled us to fast-track this vision, allowing us to bring our frozen food range to market within just a few weeks, while significantly strengthening our manufacturing and processing capabilities. Curated by Ambrozia, the recipes bring strong product expertise and consistency to our frozen food portfolio,” Manchanda said.
Along with its recent acquisition, Zappfresh has also bought Mumbai-based meat delivery brand Bonsaro in 2024 and Dr Meat in 2023 to enter new markets.
Founded in 2015 by Deepanshu Manchanda, Zappfresh started as a meat-only delivery service with a promise to deliver orders within 90 minutes.
The company was listed on the BSE SME exchange in October 2025, where it raised ₹53 crore through a fresh share issue. Since then, Zappfresh has been slowly expanding beyond its core meat delivery business into new food categories.
