Australian startup Grub Lab raises $6 million in funding from Quantaco

Grub Lab, a startup from Australia that is changing the traditional kids’ menu into a fun and interactive experience, has raised $6 million in funding from Quantaco.

The company will use this money to expand into the U.S. market and launch its brand nationwide. It is also partnering with big names like National Basketball Association, National Football League, Sony Pictures, and Universal Pictures.

The funding will help Grub Lab grow its special platform. This platform allows restaurants to offer fun and interactive kids’ menus linked to popular sports leagues and movies. It includes features like QR codes that open augmented reality (AR) experiences, games, and special shopping offers, making dining more exciting for kids.

“Parents aren’t just buying chicken tenders anymore,” said Mick Carr, CEO of Grub Lab. “They’re buying 45 minutes of peace, entertainment for their kids, and a reason to come back. Restaurants need tools that help them compete for that experience.”

“Major leagues and studios have historically partnered with brands like McDonald’s or Burger King,” Carr said. “We built a scalable platform so Betty’s Diner in Alabama or a five-unit concept in Atlanta can offer the same caliber of experience.”

“Our goal is simple,” said Carr. “Make it effortless for independent restaurants to offer big-brand experiences that drive repeat visits and increase ticket size.”

Grub Lab is a restaurant technology platform that is improving the kids’ dining experience. It works with popular sports and entertainment brands and uses interactive AR features and digital tools to make meals more fun for children. The company started in Australia and is now expanding into the United States.

Grub Lab partners with major sports leagues and entertainment companies to bring well-known brands into restaurants. This helps create a more exciting and engaging experience for kids and families.

The platform offers fun games, special deals, and new collectible menus every couple of months. This helps restaurants attract families, encourage repeat visits, and keep customers staying longer without adding extra work for staff.
