Israeli cybersecurity startup Huskeys has raised US$8 million in Seed funding, aiming to solve a long-standing problem in web application security.
The platform regularly checks firewall rules and network settings. It automatically updates them to better identify real users and block harmful traffic.
The goal is to reduce mistakes that may block genuine users, which can negatively impact revenue for online businesses.
Huskeys says its product is a new type of solution called “Edge Security Management,” which helps companies better see and control their existing security systems. It works across different cloud platforms and firewall providers, and it doesn’t require any changes to the application code.
Even though the company is less than a year old, it has already gained dozens of customers, including big global companies like TikTok, Merlin Entertainments, and Hugging Face.
Its system handles more than one trillion traffic requests across thousands of domains and reviews thousands of firewall rules every day.
“Huskeys’ value lies in delivering the tool every CISO has been seeking for years, without forcing them to replace existing infrastructure,” said Itai Gafni, Co-Founder and CEO of Huskeys. “The platform was designed for rapid deployment, enabling implementation within minutes and delivering value within hours. For organizations whose revenue is driven by website traffic, this is a true game changer; not only improving security posture, but also generating additional revenue.”
Founded by Itai Gafni(CEO) and Roy Weissfeld(CTO), both are former members of Israel’s Unit 8200. Gafni led AI projects in the unit, while Weissfeld worked as a security researcher focusing on web security.
Huskeys currently has around 20 employees, mostly based in Israel, and plans to grow its research and sales teams in the near future.
