Warner Music Group (WMG), the global music company owned by Len Blavatnik, announced on Wednesday that it has agreed to buy Revelator, an independent music platform from Israel.
Revelator provides technology that helps independent music businesses around the world. The deal is expected to be completed in the next few months.
Today, Revelator helps hundreds of customers using a cloud-based platform that makes it easier for artists, record labels, and distributors to manage their work and finances.
The company’s team has strong experience in music, technology, and financial management. They will now support WMG’s global operations while still serving Revelator’s existing clients.
WMG CEO Robert Kyncl said: “The combination of Revelator’s leading-edge technology and array of premier services with our global infrastructure will turbocharge our joint mission to support more labels and artists around the world.
Revelator Founder & CEO Bruno Guez added: “Since launching Revelator in 2012, we’ve striven to make the music industry fairer, simpler, and more transparent by bridging the gap between creativity, technology, and distribution. We’re very happy to partner with WMG to superserve artists, labels, and distributors around the world.”
Revelator, founded in 2012, is a music platform that helps with digital music distribution, managing copyrights, tracking royalties, and providing real-time data.
Joining WMG will allow Revelator to do more and offer better services to record labels and artists.
