ZTE Corporation has signed an agreement with Kcell JSC to work together on improving device technology and expanding fixed wireless access (FWA) services in Kazakhstan.
This partnership aims to strengthen digital connectivity in Central Asia and support better internet access in the region.
James Zhang and Askar Zhambakin signed the agreement in Barcelona.
This partnership is an important step for ZTE Corporation in Kazakhstan this year. It focuses on working together to improve smart devices and expand broadband internet services.
Askar Zhambakin, CEO of Kcell, said: “At Kcell, we focus on improving connectivity for people and businesses across the country. We work with different global technology partners to make mobile internet faster and more reliable, including through the development of our 5G network. Our cooperation with ZTE supports this approach by expanding access to devices and developing fixed wireless access, bringing fast internet to areas where traditional connections are not available.”
Under the agreement, ZTE Corporation and Kcell JSC will bring more ZTE smartphones to the Kazakhstan market, giving people better access to modern mobile technology.
A major part of the partnership is to expand fixed wireless access (FWA) using ZTE’s equipment. This will help provide fast and reliable internet to homes and businesses.
The plan is especially focused on rural and remote areas, where internet access is limited. The goal is to improve connectivity in these regions.
Both companies will also work together on new telecom technologies, improve devices, and support the growth of Kazakhstan’s digital and telecom industry through better infrastructure and innovation.
