India’s AI-powered tech company Wipro is planning to buy Mindsprint, a tech unit of Olam Group, for S$375 million (about $291 million) in cash. This deal is part of a bigger partnership that also includes a long-term digital transformation project worth over $1 billion.
Both companies said the deal is expected to be completed by June 2026, after approvals are received. Once the deal is done, Mindsprint will become a fully owned part of Wipro, and its current leadership team will continue to run the business.
As part of the partnership, Wipro has also signed an eight-year contract with Olam Group, with an annual spending of about $100 million. This means the total value of the deal could go beyond $1 billion.
Wipro will help Olam improve its operations using AI and consulting services. This will cover the entire process—from farming and manufacturing to supply chain and customer services—making the business more efficient and stronger.
Mindsprint, based in Singapore, provides technology, cybersecurity, and digital solutions to industries like agriculture, manufacturing, retail, and healthcare.
Olam Group has also given Wipro an eight-year services contract worth about $100 million per year.
This contract will cover around 55–60% of Olam’s yearly spending on technology services.
Wipro said the total value of the deal could go beyond $1 billion, and it will use its AI platform, Wipro Intelligence, to improve Olam’s “farm-to-fork” operations.
