Ivory has raised US$1 million in new funding from Draper Associates and SAGE Venture Fund.
The round also included support from India’s Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (as a startup selection partner). It was managed by IFCI Venture, a subsidiary of IFCI Limited and SIDBI.
The money will help Ivory improve its product, expand its clinical services, and develop new tools for assessing cognitive health. The investment also reflects growing interest in healthcare platforms focused on prevention and capable of creating large-scale, real-world impact.
“Our goal is to make cognitive testing a routine part of healthcare, starting as early as the 40s. Today, most people seek help only when symptoms become severe, which limits intervention,” Krishnan said. “If we can bring cognitive screening into preventive care we can potentially delay or reduce the incidence of serious conditions like dementia.”
“The broader idea is to embed cognitive assessment across different healthcare touchpoints — diagnostics, insurance, corporate wellness, and even sleep and longevity programmes,” John said.
Anish Babu, managing director at IFCI Venture, said, “Ivory is addressing a significant unmet need in cognitive health through a clinically grounded and technology-led approach. We are seeing strong momentum in startups building for preventive healthcare and large-scale health impact.”
Founded in 2023 by Issac John and Rahul Krishnan, Ivory is a startup focused on detecting brain and cognitive health issues early and helping people take preventive care.
It uses neuroscience, neuropsychology, and data-based tools to support brain health and help users improve how their brain functions over time.
Through its app, Ivory offers medical-level cognitive tests and personalised guidance so users can track their mental performance and well-being. The company is backed by experts in neurology, neuroscience, general medicine, and neuropsychology.
Ivory’s goal is to make brain health checks simple and to make them part of regular health checkups in India. It is also expanding through partnerships, including a collaboration with Metropolis Healthcare to launch the TruHealth Mind & Body package, which combines blood tests with cognitive assessments.
