Work AI company Glean has announced that it is expanding its presence in Australia. The company has now set up a local office as demand for AI continues to grow. Businesses in Australia and New Zealand are moving beyond just testing AI and are starting to use it across their entire organizations.
To support this growth, Glean plans to increase its local team and work more closely with customers and partners in the region. The goal is to help companies use AI in a practical way that improves daily work and delivers real business results.
Australia is one of the most advanced tech markets in the Asia-Pacific region, but many companies still face challenges. They are trying to move from small AI projects to large-scale use while keeping systems secure and well-managed. Businesses also deal with scattered data, strict data rules, and the need for AI tools that can work across different departments instead of just one system.
“We’re expanding in Australia because the demand is real, and we believe this market will be one of the defining markets for enterprise AI globally. Organisations across Australia and New Zealand know what AI can deliver, and they’re moving quickly to make it useful inside the enterprise. But they need more than access to models. They need AI grounded in their company’s own context, connected across their existing systems, and built with security and governance at the core.” – Arvind Jain, Founder & CEO, Glean
Glean is growing quickly, and its expansion in Australia is part of that momentum. The company crossed $200 million in yearly recurring revenue in December 2025 just nine months after hitting $100 million. It has also more than tripled its large business customers over the past two years.
This fast growth shows a bigger trend in the market. Companies are no longer just testing AI—they are now making it an important part of their everyday work.
“We’re seeing strong appetite across ANZ for AI that can work across the enterprise, not just within a single application or workflow. This is a market with high SaaS maturity, but also real complexity, from fragmented environments to rising expectations around trust and data sovereignty. Glean’s context-aware Work AI platform is designed for that reality, bringing enterprise knowledge, permissions, and workflows together in a secure AI layer. With our growing local presence, we can work more closely with customers and partners as they turn AI from experimentation into scaled business impact.” – Amar Maletira, Chief Operating Officer, Glean
Glean is a Work AI platform designed to help people work smarter using artificial intelligence.
Its tool, Glean Assistant, acts like a smart helper for employees. It connects with company data and understands it, so people can quickly find information and get answers.
Glean also offers AI agents, which employees can create and manage using simple, everyday language. These agents can automate tasks across the company, saving time and effort. At the same time, Glean makes sure everything stays secure, follows company rules, and only allows the right people to access the right information.
