Pronto secures $20 Million in Extended Series B Funding from Lachy Groom

Pronto, a startup that provides quick home services, has raised an additional US$20 million from Lachy Groom, co-founder of Physical Intelligence and an early investor in Zepto. This comes as part of its ongoing Series B funding round, bringing the total raised in this round to $45 million.

The new investment has increased Pronto’s valuation to $200 million, which is twice its valuation from the first part of the Series B round completed just a month ago.

So far, Pronto has raised about $60 million in total. Its investors include General Catalyst, Bain Capital Ventures, Glade Brook Capital, Epiq Capital, and Lachy Groom.

The company said the new funding will mainly be used to increase its workforce, strengthen operational infrastructure, and expand services across its existing markets.

“We were excited to have Lachy on board as a thought partner given who he is and his experience,” founder and CEO Anjali Sardana said. “There wasn’t necessarily a pressing need for capital, but we are growing very fast, and more capital is always helpful when scaling at this pace.”

Pronto said its latest funding comes as the company sees rapid growth in its business performance.

The company is now managing about 26,000 bookings every day, up from around 18,000 a month ago — a 44% increase in just one month.

Its network of service professionals has also expanded sharply, growing from 1,440 workers in January to about 6,500 trained and background-verified professionals today, according to the company.
