Aditi Toys raises $3.9 million round led by GVFL

Aditi Toys, a toy manufacturing startup, has raised INR 36 Cr (about $3.9 million) in a new funding round led by GVFL.

The round also included investments from the founders’ family and friends.

The startup plans to use the funds to develop new products and expand its presence in India as well as key global markets.

“Aditi Toys has demonstrated strong execution in integrated manufacturing, quality, and distribution, and we believe the company is well-positioned to become a leading Indian toy brand in the premium segment while reducing the country’s dependence on imported toys,” said Mihir Joshi, managing director of GVFL.

The company founders, Subhash Zala and Arvind Zala, said: “The investment by GVFL validates our ten-year commitment to developing world-class infrastructure and distribution. Now, we look forward to accelerating innovation in premium and export categories while reducing India’s reliance on imported toys.”

Founded in 2015 by Subhash Zala and Arvind Zala, Aditi Toys operates a fully integrated manufacturing facility in Rajkot.

The company produces a wide variety of toys, including plastic toys, die-cast toys, electric toys, STEM toys, silicone toys, wooden toys, and ride-on toys.

The company sells its products through more than 150 distributors and 15,000 retailers. Its toys are available through general trade, modern retail stores, e-commerce platforms, and direct-to-consumer channels under its main brand Chanak – The Smartest Kid.
