AEON Bank (M) Berhad, Malaysia’s Islamic digital bank, has partnered with the Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF) to help grow esports talent among local youth.
In a statement last Friday, they announced they signed an agreement with two other partners, Takaful Malaysia and Retromania.
The main goal of this partnership is to develop and support the esports industry, players, and the community through teamwork with their partners.
As the official digital banking partner, AEON Bank will work with MESF to help its members and players use the AEON Bank app for easy access to Shariah-compliant banking for their daily transactions.
The bank will also make MESF a client of AEON Bank Biz and explore business opportunities together.

This partnership will include using AEON Bank’s secure, Shariah-compliant banking services to manage MESF’s funds and handle prize money for tournaments.
Other plans include creating special rewards and referral programs for MESF and AEON Bank, designing a co-branded debit card and offering exclusive merchandise. They will also promote MESF activities and esports champions through AEON Bank platforms and vice versa.
The bank will also collaborate on branding for upcoming tournaments, including the SEA Games 2025 in Bangkok, the Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain, the Asian Games 2026 in Japan (Aichi and Nagoya), the Olympic Esports 2027 in Riyadh, and the SEA Games 2027 in Malaysia, alongside MESF and the Olympic Council Malaysia.
AEON Bank and MESF will keep working together to explore ways to make esports a platform for youth engagement and talent development in Malaysia, while helping the growth of this promising digital industry.
