Amaze Teams Up with Tencent Cloud to Boost Live E-commerce in Thailand

Tencent Cloud, the cloud division of global tech giant Tencent, has announced a strategic partnership with Amaze, a super app from Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) that has over 6 million users since its launch 10 months ago.

Through this partnership, Amaze will use Tencent Cloud’s all-in-one E-commerce Live Streaming Solution. This platform manages the entire livestreaming process—from viewing and real-time interaction to content reuse and performance analytics. The collaboration will help Amaze grow in the Shoppertainment space and offer Thai consumers a smoother, richer, and more engaging online shopping experience.

As live e-commerce and shoppertainment grow across Southeast Asia, Amaze is combining its strong traditional e-commerce base with creative content to make its super app more engaging. To achieve this, Amaze has partnered with Tencent Cloud. Tencent Cloud has a proven track record, serving over 90% of China’s live e-commerce platforms and more than 70% of leading OTT companies in Asia, giving Amaze a strong technology foundation for its live commerce growth.

Tencent Cloud is bringing its advanced livestreaming tools to Thailand, offering interactive features like real-time voting, on-screen gifts, and live shopping lucky draws. It also supports social features such as sharing rewards, group-buy promotions, and streamer competitions. With local support and tailored solutions, Tencent Cloud aims to be a partner that understands the needs of Thai users and businesses.

Amaze plans to bring in a wide range of local influencers and content creators in retail, lifestyle, and food, enriching its livestreaming ecosystem. These features will connect with Amaze’s rewards system, letting users earn and redeem points while enjoying more fun and interactive live shopping experiences.

Poshu Yeung, Senior Vice President of Tencent Cloud and Head of Tencent Cloud International, said, “We are delighted to partner with Amaze to bring next-generation live e-commerce experiences to Thailand. This collaboration marks an important milestone in Tencent Cloud’s continued efforts to localize its industry-leading audiovisual capabilities for leading global enterprises. Moving forward, we will continue to leverage our core audio and video technologies to collaborate with international partners in shaping the future of innovative live commerce.”

Dr. Gail Sarintip Satitsatian, Managing Director of Amaze Super App, stated: “Our collaboration with Tencent Cloud has been transformative, particularly in driving a significant sales uplift through our live commerce features. By leveraging Tencent’s robust technology, we’ve seen a substantial increase in Daily Active Users (DAU), fueled by the deep engagement that only real-time interaction can provide.”

Over the past three years, Tencent Cloud’s international business has grown strongly, with double-digit growth each year. In the past year alone, its overseas customer base has doubled. Today, Tencent Cloud operates in more than 80 countries and regions, supporting businesses in livestreaming, gaming, cross-border e-commerce, and financial services.

Tencent Cloud works with many major global partners, including Indonesia’s largest digital ecosystem GoTo Group, Thailand’s top retail group CP AXTRA, Singapore’s leading mobility platform Ryde, the UAE’s popular livestreaming platform C.live, and the Philippines’ major telecom operator Converge, among others.
