
Andhra Pradesh has signed an agreement with U.S. tech company Nvidia to help grow the Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry in the state, said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
As part of the agreement, Nvidia will assist the state in creating training programs and preparing educational content over the next two years.
Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu said, “Andhra Pradesh is welcoming bold initiatives to lead India’s AI revolution. Under the leadership of Hon’ble IT Minister @naralokesh Garu, we have entered into an MoU with @nvidia to build a strong and inclusive AI ecosystem in the state.”
“With support from NVIDIA for curriculum and training, 10,000 engineering students will receive skill training over the next two years, while 500 AI startups from AP will gain access to its Inception Program for global exposure and key resources,” CM added.
Chief Minister Naidu also stated that plans are underway to establish India’s first AI University, with the assistance of Nvidia, to develop robust infrastructure and research facilities.
“From education and skilling to research and innovation, this initiative is laying the foundation for a Swarna Andhra Pradesh,” he added.
Andhra Pradesh is working hard to build its AI industry. The state government has also announced plans to create India’s first Quantum Computing Village.
The state government has announced a 50-acre facility in Amaravati, which will be a first-of-its-kind center for quantum computing research and teamwork.
The facility is planned to be a shared space where universities and companies can collaborate and utilise advanced quantum computing tools and resources.
The facility will also have its own data center to handle high-performance computing. IBM and TCS will collaborate to plan the setup, which will initially include the IBM Quantum System Two.
