Artajasa and Ant International Partner to Expand Digital Payments

Artajasa, Indonesia’s leading payment system provider, has signed an MoU with Ant International a global digital payments and fintech company. The partnership aims to strengthen cooperation between Indonesia and Ant International’s global network.

Together, the two companies will work on smoother cross-border payments, AI-powered mobile payment innovations, and digital solutions to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) grow.

This collaboration also shows a shared goal of supporting digital transformation in the payment industry. It aims to create long-term value for businesses, merchants, and consumers by making payments more efficient and accessible.

The MoU was signed in Singapore by Armand Hermawan, President Director and CEO of Artajasa, and Pan Yan, Head of the Strategic Partnership Office for Alipay+ at Ant International.

This agreement marks the start of a strategic partnership to expand digital payment services and encourage the adoption of new technologies. It aims to connect Indonesia’s payment systems with Ant International’s global digital payment network.

Artajasa is one of Indonesia’s top payment infrastructure companies. It currently connects more than 80,000 ATMs and works with 98 ATM Bersama member institutions across the country. It is also the largest provider of QRIS services, supporting payments for over 41 million merchants nationwide.

Artajasa’s payment ecosystem serves many industries, including telecommunications, finance, insurance, public services, energy, education, transportation, e-money, credit cards, and e-commerce. The company also operates a wide network of ATMs and manages EDC machines through agents across Indonesia.

Ant International operates through four main business units—Alipay+, Antom, Bettr, and WorldFirst. It offers technology-driven financial solutions such as AI-powered payments, business growth tools, and digital solutions for small businesses. Alipay+, its global wallet platform, connects more than 1.8 billion user accounts with over 150 million merchants across 100+ markets worldwide.
