Asian Mind Sports Association Partners with Philippine Olympic Committee to Boost Mind Sports

Asian Mind Sports Association (AMSA) has signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the Philippine Olympic Committee on 30 March 2026.

This agreement creates a strong, long-term partnership to help grow and develop mind sports in the Philippines.

Both groups will work together to improve competitions by following international standards. This includes setting common rules, formats, and systems.

They also plan to connect online and offline competitions and build a digital system. This system will include player engagement, ranking systems, and data-based tools.

The partnership will cover many mind sports like chess, go, xiangqi, bridge, speed cubing, and poker (where allowed by law). More sports may be added in the future.

They will also run training programs and awareness campaigns across the country to improve skills and encourage more people to take part. This agreement shows AMSA’s goal to grow mind sports in a structured way and work closely with sports organizations across Asia.

Asian Mind Sports Association was started in 2025 to help grow and popularise mind sports across Asia, and to increase the region’s presence in global competitions.

In January 2026, it was officially recognised by the Olympic Council of Asia as the main body responsible for managing all qualifying events for mind sports in future OCA Games.
