BDO Teams Up with VinFast and V-Green to Drive EV Growth in the Philippines

BDO Unibank Inc. has signed an agreement to work with electric vehicle (EV) and green mobility companies.

The agreement involves several companies, including EV maker VinFast Auto Philippines and EV charging company V-Green.

It also includes Green and Smart Mobility Philippines (Green GSM Philippines), which runs the country’s first all-electric taxi fleet.

BDO will help these three companies grow and run their operations in the Philippines. The goal is to make electric vehicles more accessible for both Filipino consumers and businesses.

VinFast Philippines will use BDO’s financial services, including cash management, consumer banking, leasing, and insurance.

These services will help create customized financing programs for both individual and business customers.

V-Green has already received permission to set up EV charging stations in four SM Supermalls.

The company also plans to expand its charging stations to Alfamart outlets.

Since its launch in June 2025, Green GSM Philippines has been using BDO’s digital banking platform to help onboard drivers and support its growth.

VinFast Philippines, a subsidiary of Vietnam’s large conglomerate Vingroup JSC, focuses entirely on making electric vehicles. Green GSM Philippines’ taxi fleet runs only on VinFast EVs.

V-Green is also expanding into other Southeast Asian markets, including Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
