Bengaluru’s CamCom Partners with ERGO to Bring AI-Powered Insurance to Europe

ERGO Group AG has joined hands with CamCom Technologies, a deeptech company based in Bengaluru, India. As part of the partnership, CamCom will be the main technology provider for ERGO’s AI-powered visual inspection services across Europe.

CamCom’s advanced technology can detect and assess defects, damage, and other issues on different surfaces. Their Large Vision Model (LVM), trained on over 450 million verified images, can accurately understand and analyze photos and videos.

ERGO and CamCom have started their partnership in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. In these countries, they’ve launched a new AI-based pre-inspection tool for car and home insurance.

Now, people who want to buy insurance from ERGO can use their phone to take pictures of their car or home and upload them using CamCom’s web app. This helps record any existing damage, so it won’t be included in future claims. CamCom’s AI checks the photos to find any damage, where it is, how serious it is, and also makes sure the images are real.

ERGO plans to bring this technology to more European countries in the future.

Mark Klein, Chief Digital Officer and Member of the Board of Management, ERGO Group AG said, “Together, we aim to simplify and digitise insurance experiences for our customers’ workflows, helping validate the platform’s robustness, accuracy, and scale in real-world applications. The partnership with ERGO Group AG signals the success and maturity of this collaboration.”

We look forward to working closely with ERGO in the future and thereby positioning ourselves as a strong partner for the latest visual inspection services. The strategic partnership not only underscores our commitment to continuous innovation but is also proof of our ability to offer accurate and efficient AI-supported solutions, which at the same time meet the needs of the European market, ” Geetha Sham, Director and President Europe, CamCom.

CamCom, founded in 2017 and based in Bengaluru, has created an AI-powered system called a Large Vision Model that can spot damage or defects on surfaces. It allows insurance customers to take and upload photos of their vehicles or homes using their smartphone for fast and accurate pre-inspection and damage checks.

The company says this method reduces guesswork, saves time, and makes the process clearer and more reliable for both insurance companies and their customers.
