Blackwall Raises $100 Mn at $2.2 Billion Valuation to Expand Web Security Tools

Estonia-based cybersecurity company Blackwall has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round at a valuation of $2.2 billion. The company develops web traffic security tools that help hosting providers protect websites from malicious bots, cyberattacks, and unwanted automated traffic, including activity generated by AI agents.

The funding round was led by AVP, with participation from existing investors Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures, and Tera Ventures. According to Blackwall’s executive chairman, Roi Carthy, the latest investment has increased the company’s valuation fourfold since its previous funding round in 2025.

Blackwall’s Funding and Investors

Blackwall’s latest funding will support its international expansion and the development of additional security products for web hosting companies, cloud providers, and managed service providers.

The company previously raised approximately $48.6 million in a Series B funding round in March 2025. The latest Series C round marks a significant increase in its valuation as demand grows for solutions that can manage rising levels of automated web traffic.

How Blackwall Helps Protect Websites

Blackwall provides security tools that help hosting providers identify and manage different types of web traffic. These include legitimate visitors, authorised AI agents, malicious bots, and potentially harmful requests.

Its technology includes distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection, threat intelligence, certificate management, and traffic routing. The platform also uses digital fingerprinting and AI models to examine incoming requests and identify potentially harmful activity.

According to co-founder and CEO Nikita Rozenberg, the company analyses the software sending requests and examines their behaviour and intent. This helps distinguish legitimate automated activity from malicious bots and disruptive traffic.

A Partner-Based Business Model

Rather than selling its security platform directly to individual websites, Blackwall works with hosting providers, cloud companies, and managed service providers. These partners can customise its tools and offer them to their customers under their own brands.

This approach allows service providers to select security features, set their own prices, and maintain direct relationships with their customers while sharing revenue with Blackwall.

Growing Demand for AI Agent Security

The rapid growth of AI agents is creating new challenges for website owners and hosting providers. As AI systems increasingly browse websites, retrieve information, and carry out tasks on behalf of users, businesses need better ways to distinguish legitimate automated requests from harmful activity.

Blackwall aims to help service providers manage which AI agents can access websites and under what conditions. This could become increasingly important as AI agents begin conducting transactions and making payments online.

How Blackwall Plans to Use the Funding

Blackwall plans to use the newly raised capital to expand its operations across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. The company also intends to develop more security tools for hosting providers, cloud platforms, and managed service businesses.

The investment comes as businesses face growing pressure to protect their online infrastructure from cyberattacks, automated scraping, malicious bots, and increasingly complex AI-driven traffic.
