Malaysian agritech firm BoomGrow Productions Sdn Bhd (BoomGrow) and communications firm CelcomDigi Berhad announced a strategic partnership to transform Malaysia’s agricultural industry using 5G connectivity, AI, and XR with precision farming technology.
This collaboration is a major step toward adopting innovative technologies to improve sustainable farming and food production in Malaysia, the duo added.
CelcomDigi uses its ZTE-supported 5G connectivity to improve BoomGrow Machine Farms’ capabilities and efficiency.
5G technology, AI, and XR provide real-time monitoring, precision agricultural environment control, and predictive analytics, increasing crop yields and resource efficiency.
Consolidated data from every Machine Farm in the nation is gathered onto a single dashboard, making management and oversight simple.
This is made possible by Malaysia’s largest and fastest network, CelcomDigi, which guarantees dependable and thorough connectivity throughout all Machine Farms.
The collaboration will focus on three main agritech innovation areas: machine farm AI and data analytics, agronomist training using XR, and precision farming with 5G enhancements.
BoomGrow Machine Farms can now precisely control indoor farming environments, ensuring ideal conditions for crop growth, thanks to CelcomDigi’s 5G connectivity. This connectivity powers a variety of integrated sensors and monitoring systems that can now provide real-time data feedback.

Meanwhile, deeper study of the complex datasets collected from all Machine Farms is now possible thanks to sophisticated analytics driven by AI, which is made possible by many Machine Farms that provide feedback on complicated datasets and plant visualization.
