Bursa Malaysia Berhad, in partnership with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) unveiled the SME X Platform. This new data ecosystem portal is designed to empower the fund-raising communities with comprehensive datasets of Small and Medium Enterprises (“SMEs”) in Malaysia, that helps the SMEs in their business expansions and fund-raising initiatives.

A first in the industry, the Platform integrates extensive information from both Bursa Malaysia and SSM, offering a comprehensive database of over 650,000 active companies in Malaysia. It serves as a rich resource for business analysis, providing detailed insights into companies’ financial performance, organisational structure, shareholdings, and more.

Emphasising the significance of the Platform, Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia, stated, “The SME X Platform, arising from our strategic partnership with SSM, serves as a bridge connecting SMEs with essential resources for their expansion and entry into the capital market. It plays a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and growth of SMEs in the capital market. This robust database is central to our commitment to nurturing the expansion of SMEs, thereby contributing to the progressive landscape of Malaysia economy.”
