Buy&Ship Raises $12M in Series C to Grow AI-Powered Global Shopping

Buy&Ship, a Hong Kong–based company that supports cross-border online shopping, has raised US$12 million in the first closing of its Series C funding round.

As global cross-border eCommerce grows into a US$1.5 trillion market, Buy&Ship focuses on making international shopping easier by solving problems like customs paperwork, high shipping costs, and complicated logistics.

The Series C funding round got new investors like MLC Ventures (Mitsubishi Logistics Corp. Ventures), DLK Advisory, and Hong Kong-listed MemeStrategy. Existing investors, Cool Japan Fund and Altara Ventures, also added more money.

The company said it will use this money to improve AI on its platform, expand into the US, grow through global mergers and acquisitions, and get ready for a possible public listing in the future.

Buy&Ship has seen strong growth recently. Its proxy-shopping revenue doubled compared to last year, helped by partnerships such as its integration with Mercari, Japan’s largest consumer-to-consumer marketplace. Revenue in Taiwan grew by over 60% after the company launched direct shipping services from Japan to Taiwan. In Singapore, revenue more than doubled as Buy&Ship expanded its presence in Southeast Asia.

Buy&Ship now has around 3 million registered users across 12 countries and regions and has already handled over 100 million packages worldwide.

Buy&Ship said its proprietary technology platform is automating the full cross-border value chain, moving beyond the role of a traditional freight forwarder. Its AI-powered discovery engine uses large language models and proprietary datasets to surface global product opportunities for users, while automated backend systems — including AGV-enabled warehouses and logistics optimisation AI — handle customs documentation and route optimisation in real time to deliver a frictionless fulfilment experience.

Founded in 2014, Buyandship helps people shop from other countries easily. The company uses artificial intelligence, big data, and social media to make buying, shipping, and delivering products from abroad simple and smooth.
