C8 Health Raises $12M to Bring Real-Time Clinical Insights to Hospitals

C8 Health, a company from the Team8 group, has built an AI platform that helps organize and make clinical information easy to access. It has now raised $12 million in a Series A funding round.

The round was led by Team8, with support from 10D and Vertex Ventures Israel. This brings C8 Health’s total funding to $18 million, including a $6 million Seed round led earlier by Vertex Ventures Israel and 10D.

C8’s AI platform helps medical teams quickly access the clinical information they need, based on their role—whether they’re a doctor, nurse, or intern. It also tracks how well teams follow medical guidelines and lets them set clear goals to improve care quality.

The system connects with all hospital software, works on both computers and mobile devices, and is built right into the hospital’s electronic medical record (EMR) system.

C8 Health says that inconsistent medical care results in poor patient outcomes and costs over $345 billion each year in the United States alone.

While many clinical guidelines are already available, they’re often hard to find and use in real time. The use of different knowledge systems and formats makes it even harder for medical staff to access important information when they need it most.

C8’s platform features an AI interface that lets doctors and nurses ask questions in simple, natural language. It then gives accurate answers using the hospital’s verified medical knowledge base.

Users can also access treatment guidelines from a growing network of hospitals and clinical organizations on the platform. This helps staff not only follow their own hospital’s rules but also compare them with trusted methods used by top medical centers around the world.

The company was founded in 2022 by Dr. Ido Zamberg, Tzach Klo, and Galia Rosen Schwartz, who serves as the company’s CEO. It employs 25 people, half in Israel and half in the U.S. More than 100 hospitals currently use C8. The company has development offices in Israel and Europe and a marketing and sales arm in the United States.

“It is exciting to see how we enable hospitals to implement their best practices effectively and gain control over both care quality and delivery costs,” said Galia Rosen Schwarz, CEO and co-founder of C8 Health. “This round will help us grow our team to support the needs and demand in the market. We already see how this approach is becoming the new standard, driving adherence to best practices across healthcare systems. Having a single source of truth for such a broad range of clinical needs is proving invaluable.”

“C8 Health is addressing a real need for healthcare teams across virtually every hospital and specialty,” said Sarit Firon, Managing Partner at Team8. “The rapid adoption of their product and exceptional clinician engagement speak to the immense value of their solution. We strongly believe that C8 Health will play a pivotal role in shaping a better future for both physicians and their patients.”
