Cadabams Group Invests $7.3 Million to Launch AI-Powered Mental Health Platform MindTalk

The Cadabams Group, a mental health care organization, has invested $7.3 million (around ₹65 crore) in its new online mental health platform, MindTalk.

The money will be used over the next 12 to 18 months to improve MindTalk’s AI technology, develop advanced deep learning tools, and add the latest clinical research to the platform.

“While a partial portion of this investment we have committed has been put into this platform already, the rest will be invested in the next 12 to 18 months. With MindTalk, we are building a clinically intelligent digital companion that can bring structured mental healthcare to anyone with a smartphone, without losing the rigour and empathy of real-world therapy,” said Sandesh Cadabam, Executive Director, Cadabams Group.

MindTalk’s advanced AI system uses large language models (LLMs), conversational AI, and adaptive learning tools that are trained and guided by expert mental health professionals.

Unlike regular wellness apps or chatbots, MindTalk offers advice based on clinical research and follows professional mental healthcare standards.

Founded in 1991, Cadabams operates 42 centres across India and the Maldives, and has served more than 275,000 patients so far.

The group plans to expand to 150–160 centres with 3,500 beds in the coming years and is also growing its digital presence through platforms like MindTalk to reach more people.

Cadabams aims to make MindTalk accessible to at least one million users in the coming years to address the growing demand for mental health support in India.
