Capital A Signs MOU with Malaysia’s KTMB to Link Travel and Logistics Services

Capital A, a company based in Malaysia, has signed an agreement (MOU) with the country’s national railway company, KTMB. This agreement shows that both sides want to work together and create a plan for future cooperation.

This partnership aims to drive transformation and integrate travel services, food and beverage, loyalty programs, and logistics within Malaysia, Capital A said in a statement on Monday.

The MOU between Capital A and KTMB explains that both companies will work together to study and plan future projects that benefit them both.

They will look at whether these ideas make sense for business and operations.

The goal is to create a strong partnership to improve travel and transport in Malaysia. This includes connecting trains, flights, delivery, food, and rewards services in one smooth system.

By combining KTMB’s train network with Capital A’s services—like Teleport (logistics), Santan (food), AirAsia MOVE, and AirAsia Rewards—the partnership will make travel easier, improve cargo services, and give passengers a better experience.

Some of the main ideas include:

Combo train and flight bookings

Shuttle services to Senai Airport

Joining Teleport and KTMB’s cargo services

Serving Santan meals on trains

Passengers will also be able to swap loyalty points between Rail Points and AirAsia Rewards, and BigPay may be used as a main payment option.

This partnership aims to boost tourism, improve travel connections, and offer better service to customers.

The MOU will not affect Capital A’s shares, ownership, or financial performance. It won’t change the company’s assets, debts, profits, or earnings per share.

KTMB is Malaysia’s national railway company and is fully owned by the Ministry of Finance.

Its main job is to train services and related activities in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore. KTMB plays an important role in the country’s transport system by connecting cities and rural areas. This helps with travel and supports Malaysia’s economy.

KTMB offers several services, including the Electric Train Service (ETS), KTM Intercity, KTM Komuter, and KTM Kargo (for goods).
