Malaysian telecom company CelcomDigi Berhad has signed an agreement with Terengganu Incorporated Sdn. Bhd. (Terengganu Inc) to work together on using digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) across the group’s operations.
The move comes after both companies held several workshops to find the best ways to speed up Terengganu’s digital transformation.
As part of this partnership, CelcomDigi will use its experience in digital and AI solutions to help Terengganu Inc modernize its business. After studying the digital capabilities of 13 of Terengganu Inc’s subsidiaries, the two companies will create a detailed AI Strategy Framework focused on improving connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud systems, IoT, and data use.
This framework will act as a roadmap to make operations more efficient, strengthen the company’s technology base, and support Terengganu’s goal of building a modern, tech-driven economy.

He said that with smarter infrastructure, better management, and data-based decision-making, Terengganu will be able to offer improved services and create more opportunities for its people.
Meanwhile, Burhanuddin Hilmi bin Mohamed Harun, President and Group CEO of Terengganu Inc, said that as Terengganu moves toward a stronger and more modern economy, digital transformation will play a key role in making that happen.
